Show Me Dharma Library

Show Me Dharma has a lending library of books, videos and audiotapes available for the use of our practice community. This library has been established through the generous donations of sangha members. The library will gratefully accept donations of books, movies and audio tapes that have a spiritual theme. There are two collections of books. One is for General Spirituality and these books have a blue dot on their spines. The other is a Buddhist Teachings collection. Each collection has its own shelving area.

Procedure for borrowing library materials:
For books and videotapes: Please use the book card located in the book pocket to sign out these materials. Include the date you are signing out the item, your first and last name and your home phone number.

For audio-cassettes:
There are no sign out cards for the audiocassettes.

Filing sign out cards:
There is a yellowish tan file box to keep signed out book cards in. Please file your cards in alphabetical order by your last name.

Returning materials:
Please remove the book cards from the file box for the item(s) you are returning and place them back in the book pocket. Then you may re-shelve books in alphabetical order by the author’s last name. Video cassettes are not filed in any particular order, but are grouped together on their own shelves.

Donations:
There is a basket in which you may place materials you would like to donate to the library. Donations are greatly appreciated.

What’s new in the library:
There is an area in the library set aside to showcase materials new to the collection.

For the library to continue to be available, please be sure to return in a timely manner the items that you have borrowed.
